PFAS Analysis - fast and reliable with BAV Institute

Perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are industrial chemicals used in industrial processes and consumer products. Due to the difficulty in degrading these compounds, they accumulate in the environment and can enter the food chain. 

The German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) has updated its statement on PFAS: Feed plays a crucial role in meeting the PFAS maximum levels in animal foods. The BfR has calculated how high the PFAS content in feed can be without exceeding the new EU limits in animal products, while recommending further investigations into PFAS contamination. It has also been observed that PFAS can transfer from feed into foods.
