The BAV Institute, represented by Dr. Petra Wirth, participated as a speaker at the “Handok Cosmetic Conference” in South Korea on June 11, 2024.

Dr. Wirth lectured on the legal framework of the European cosmetics market, compliance of which is essential for the import of Asian cosmetic products. In particular, the Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 as an overarching element and the Claims Regulation (EU) No. 655/2013 as a specific regulation regarding advertising claims for cosmetic products were subjects of the presentation.

The BAV Institute is an ISO 17025 certified testing laboratory that supports cosmetic manufacturers both domestically and abroad with analytical as well as regulatory issues related to cosmetics. From analyses confirming the microbiological and chemical safety to the preparation of safety reports, various services are part of the BAV portfolio.
