Eye make-up remover in the Eco-Test magazine January 2023 - AOX/EOX, silicones, and paraffins detectable

 

In the current Öko-Test issue, 24 makeup removers specifically for the eye area were tested for ingredients and residues such as halogenated organic compounds. Many of the products received the highest rating. Products with the following ingredients were downgraded by Öko-Test in the evaluation:

-          Halogenated organic compounds (AOX/EOX), which are classified as skin irritants

-          PEG (Polyethylene glycol) and PEG derivatives

-          Silicones and paraffins, which can disturb the skin balance
