Öko-Test tests tinted day creams – Cadmium detected

Öko-Test tests a total of 19 different tinted day creams for compliance with the requirements of Regulation (EC) 1223/2009. Only five of the tested products achieved the top rating.

The following ingredients, among others, were criticized:

• Cadmium (suspected of reproductive toxicity)
• Paraffins
• Silicones
• Aromatic hydrocarbons (MOAH) – potentially carcinogenic
• Butylhydroxytoluene (BHT) (suspected of hormonal effects)
