Öko-Test tests fragrance-free face creams – silicones, chlorphenesin, PEG derivatives detected
A total of 20 perfume-free facial creams were tested. Many of the products received top ratings. Öko-Test criticized products in the evaluation containing the following substances:
- PEG/PEG derivatives
- Silicones
- Chlorphenesin (preservative; suspected of causing skin irritation)
- Certain fragrances, suspected of causing allergies
The BAV Institute, in cooperation with the international Tentamus laboratory group, offers the testing of the mentioned substances in cosmetic products.
