Recall due to gluten in quinoa sourdough

According to the Food Information Regulation (FIR), substances that can cause allergies must be specially labeled on packaged foods. The regulation also specifies which 14 main allergens must be declared.

Among other things, it is required that cereals containing gluten must be labeled. Even very small amounts of gluten can lead to serious health problems for people with celiac disease.

Proper labeling of the packaging is therefore very important for those affected.

Recently, a product was recalled in which gluten was detected, but it was not declared on the packaging. This concerns a sourdough made from quinoa.

The Federal Nutrition Center has compiled all important information on allergen labeling here (https://www.bzfe.de/lebensmittel/einkauf-und-kennzeichnung/kennzeichnung/allergenkennzeichnung/).

In our Tentamus laboratories, we regularly conduct allergen testing and labeling checks. We provide you with fast and reliable results.
