DIN ISO/TR 18811 – Guidelines for the Stability Testing of Cosmetics

At the beginning of the year, the DIN/ISO TR 18811 was released. This guideline provides general recommendations and practical advice regarding the conduct of stability tests.

These tests are required for all cosmetic products under Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 and are part of the safety report. The guideline describes the selection of possible test parameters, the test conditions (e.g., temperatures, light exposure, humidity, etc.), and the evaluation of results.

The selection of all test parameters and test durations is always product-specific.
