The Federal Ministry for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) has informed about the new investigation program.

This includes investigations on the following substance groups, for example:

• Mineral oil components MOSH and MOAH in vegetable oils and fats
• Pyrrolizidine alkaloids and tropane alkaloids in flours
• Pesticide residues in fully usable plant-based foods
