Listeriosis outbreak in the EU
At the end of last year, cases of listeriosis infections were reported from Germany, Austria, and Denmark. A total of 33 individuals were infected. 26 people were treated in the hospital.
The infections were traced back to contaminated fish and all could be attributed to a specific strain of bacteria. This strain was found in a recalled trout fillet from a Danish manufacturer and was reported through the RASFF.
In our Tentamus Laboratories, we regularly conduct investigations for listeria, as well as strain comparisons and challenge tests. We provide fast and reliable results.
For questions, our customer advisors are very happy to assist you.
