Men's face creams in the current Öko-Test magazine
20 face creams specifically for men have been examined in detail by the magazine Öko-Test in the current March issue 2020 for residues and contaminants.
15 of the 20 products received a rating of good or very good, the other products received at most a satisfactory rating, and one cream received only an inadequate rating.
What exactly led to a downgrade? Essentially, it is the following criteria or residues and ingredients:
- Artificial musk fragrance, e.g. Galaxolide (HHCB)
- Certain fragrances like Hydroxycitronellal, Lilial
- Dimethicones
- Cyclopentasiloxane and Cyclohexasiloxane
Formaldehyde and critical preservatives such as Thiazolinones were not detected.
Have your product tested for possible residues and contaminants and meet the requirements of Regulation (EU) 1223/2009. We also check the microbiological quality of your products for you in accordance with the requirements of ISO 17516.
