In the field of animal by-products, two amendment regulations were announced in the Official Journal of the EU.

Among other things, the threshold value for enterobacteria for raw pet food is increased from 10 CFU/g to 500 CFU/g and defined as a process hygiene criterion. Furthermore, reporting obligations for businesses are introduced in case of exceeding the criteria. The changes are already applicable from 30.06.2020!
