Mono-n-hexyl phthalate (MnHexP) and Di-n-hexyl phthalate (DnHexP)
At the beginning of the year, the phthalate mono-n-hexylphthalate (MnHexP) was detected in children's urine samples through official controls.
Currently, the sources of this substance are being discussed and a risk assessment for the consumer is being carried out. The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) has already published several communications and derived a preliminary TDI (tolerable daily intake).
One source from which MnHexP is formed is named as di-n-hexylphthalate (DnHexP). Both DnHexP and MnHexP are included in our institute's phthalate analysis spectrum.
Our institute, as part of the Tentamus laboratory group, analyzes a large number of phthalate (plasticizer) compounds in cosmetics and raw materials for you. The analytics are performed using state-of-the-art LC-MS/MS technology and with low detection limits.
Do you want to know if your products or raw materials are contaminated with phthalates? We look forward to your message.
