New leaflet "Pool Tableware"
New Information Sheet "Pool Dishes" published.
The information sheet is aimed at food companies participating in deposit pool systems for reusable dishes. It includes the description of general procedures in pool systems for deposit-bearing reusable dishes, relevant food law aspects and responsibilities, as well as the specific operational requirements in the food companies.
The goal is to provide participants with concrete assistance for the proper hygienic handling of reusable dishes circulated through deposit pool systems and to support the necessary communication.
A prerequisite and basis for applying the practical guidelines in this information sheet is the hygienic equipment of the operational facilities, adherence to an appropriate, process-related Good Hygiene Practice (GHP) according to applicable hygiene regulations. Companies are recommended to consider relevant and recognized industry guidelines for Good Hygiene Practice.
The information sheet has been coordinated with all involved economic circles and the food surveillance authorities. In the sense of Article 8 of Regulation (EC) No. 852/2004, it represents a recognized economic guideline of Good Practice and serves as a nationwide uniform reference basis for application and monitoring practice.
