New Regulation on Substance Restrictions in Tattoo Inks and Permanent Make-up
The Regulation (EU) 2020/2081 introduces new material requirements and restrictions. The background is to prevent any health hazards to consumers from tattoo inks (these products breach the skin barrier and are partially absorbed by the body). This particularly concerns substances classified under the Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP Regulation):
- Heavy metals
- Aromatic amines
- Dyes and pigments
- Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
The BAV Institute in conjunction with the international Tentamus Laboratory Group conducts testing for the aforementioned substance groups. Contact us to ensure the quality of your products through regular inspections.
We look forward to your message.
