Nitrosamines in Nail Polish
In the minutes of the 27th meeting of the BfR Commission (BfR: Federal Institute for Risk Assessment) for cosmetic products, increased nitrosamine levels in nail polishes with nitrocellulose were reported. Contamination of raw materials is cited as the reason.
The discussion focuses on using a best-before date instead of a period after opening.
Further measures will be discussed as soon as guideline values are available.
