Product Recall: Clostridium botulinum in Common White Russula in Brine

The reports on www.lebensmittelwarnung.de provide a good overview of current issues related to food. The Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) publishes, among other things, warnings regarding Clostridium botulinum in food on this portal.

Due to the detection of Clostridium botulinum, an official recall of the product "Common White Russula in Brine" has been announced.

Clostridium botulinum bacteria can produce toxic substances in food that lead to a serious and potentially deadly poisoning called foodborne botulism. Just a few hours after consumption, initial signs of paralysis can occur. These often manifest as blurred vision, double vision, light sensitivity, difficulty swallowing, and a dry mouth. The paralysis can worsen and even affect the respiratory and heart muscles. Early signs may also include headaches, diarrhea, and vomiting.

In our Tentamus laboratories, we regularly conduct testing for Clostridium botulinum in food.

We provide fast and reliable results for you.
