Recall: Mycotoxin Ergot Alkaloids in Whole Grain Spelt Spaghetti

Ergot alkaloids are metabolic products of the ergot fungus and are categorized as so-called "mycotoxins."

In Germany, rye is particularly frequently affected by this fungus species. Mycotoxins can be toxic even in low concentrations and are therefore closely monitored. This led to another product recall last week due to the detection of ergot alkaloids in spelt whole grain spaghetti.

In our Tentamus laboratories, we regularly conduct testing for ergot alkaloids and other mycotoxins. We provide fast and reliable results.
Our customer consultants are happy to answer any questions you may have.
