Recall of cosmetic products due to Pluralibacter gergoviae

Again and again, microbial contamination of cosmetics leads to recalls of these products. One example in cosmetics is contamination with Pluralibacter gergoviae. An infection with this germ cannot be excluded, especially in immunocompromised individuals and children.

The number of recalls involving this germ has increased in recent years. The BAV Institute analyzes cosmetic products and raw materials quickly and reliably for the presence or absence of this germ. As part of the examination according to DIN EN ISO 17516, we generally check the microbiological quality of products.
