Regulation No. 1881/2006: Maximum levels for perchlorate

The European Commission has adopted the draft regulation on establishing maximum levels for perchlorate in certain foods. In the future, there shall be maximum levels for perchlorate in the following products/product groups: fruit and vegetables, tea, herbal and fruit teas, infant formula (see table below).

The new regulation is set to take effect from July 1, 2020.
