"Risk-based requirements for the approval of establishments" - Recommendation of the AFFL project group
On 16 May 2019 the Federal Gazette published the statement of the project group "Development of risk‑based requirements for the approval of establishments" of the Working Group on Meat and Poultry Hygiene and Specific Questions Concerning Foods of Animal Origin of the Länderarbeitsgemeinschaft Verbraucherschutz (AFFL). The comments are addressed directly to the competent authorities.
This notice replaces the version dated 20 January 2014. In this version, the project group clarifies in its comments the obligation of businesses to obtain approval in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 853/2004, in particular the new provisions for retail businesses, artisanal trades, catering operations, manufacturers of composite foods, as well as storage and repackaging establishments.
