"Topf Secret" - Internet platform for querying results of state hygiene inspections
A new online platform by foodwatch and FragDenStaat has been available on the internet for a few days. Through the "Topf Secret" portal, consumers can easily request results of hygiene inspections in restaurants, bakeries, butcheries, etc. A request is sent to the authorities in accordance with the Consumer Information Act (VIG).
The BLL e. V. has issued a press release on this, which we also agree with in terms of content. In our opinion, the necessity and proportionality of a public pillory are not given in many cases and cannot be reconciled with the rule of law. There are sufficient ways to sanction hygiene violations in an appropriate manner.
