Use cosmetic testers safely and hygienically even during the pandemic

The safe and harmless use of hygiene testers in retail is particularly important during the Corona pandemic. What should be considered in this regard? What measures need to be taken?

A working group of the IKW (German Cosmetic, Toiletry, Perfumery and Detergent Association), and the Cosmetic Trade Association has addressed this issue and examined what constitutes safe application. By adhering to the following 6 basic rules, cosmetic testers can be safely offered even during pandemic times:

• Observe hygiene rules and wear a face covering

• Wash hands before and after use

• Do not apply the product to the face, eyes, or lips

• Test only on the back of the hand or paper strips

• No contact of the product with the mucous membranes

• Use at your own risk
