24/06/2025 - Paul Andrei (BAV Institute) speaks at the DGHM meeting on July 3, 2025, in Soest

The German Society for Hygiene and Microbiology e.V. (DGHM) is hosting a nationally recognized conference on July 3, 2025, regarding the microbiological guideline and warning values in food hygiene.

A special feature of the program: Paul Andrei, Managing Director of the BAV Institute for Hygiene and Quality Assurance, will deliver a keynote speech. In it, he will illuminate the application and relevance of the DGHM guideline values in operational practice, as well as their significance for authorities, industry, and consumers.

The conference will take place at the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences in Soest and is aimed at professionals from science, food monitoring, laboratory practice, and the food industry. The event is organized by the Permanent Working Group “Microbiological Guideline and Warning Values for Food” of the DGHM. This group has been developing objectified evaluation criteria for food for decades, which go beyond legal requirements.
