Changeandexpansionofdeclarationfragrancescosmetics

By June 2023 at the latest, a new regulation concerning additional declarable fragrance substances for cosmetics is expected to be published.

In this process, a total of 61 more substances will become declarable. These include both single compounds (e.g. camphor, vanillin) and about 25 plant extracts (various oils). These substances will then have to be declared from an amount of 10ppm (leave-on) or 100ppm (rinse-off).

The aim is to protect consumers from potential allergenic substances. This new regulation is based on the SCCS Opinion 1459/11 from the year 2012.

Our institute, as part of the Tentamus lab group, has already established the analysis of the extended fragrance substance list (single compounds). With our accredited testing procedure, we examine both raw materials and cosmetic end products quickly and reliably for you.

Please contact us anytime for an individual offer. We look forward to hearing from you!
