Update of the Preservative Efficacy Testing (PET) Standard DIN EN ISO 11930
In April of this year, DIN EN ISO 11930 (Evaluation of the antimicrobial protection of a cosmetic product) was updated as a central testing method for demonstrating the microbiological stability of cosmetics. This standard replaces the previously valid version from 2013.
The changes mainly concern the use of dilution media as well as specifications for counting colonized plates. BAV Institute always offers investigations according to the latest state of technology and has already incorporated these changes.
