In the current Öko-Test issue (May 2023), a total of 27 anti-dandruff shampoos were tested. Half of the products did not receive negative feedback from Öko-Test. However, products containing the following ingredients were criticized:

-          Climbazole (acts as a fungicide in anti-dandruff shampoos and can accumulate in the environment; suspicion of hormonal effects)

-          Silicones

-          PEG compounds

-          Sodium Laureth Sulfate (irritating potential)

-          Musk compound (Galaxolide – accumulation in the environment)

The BAV Institute within the international Tentamus laboratory group analyzes various chemical parameters for you, including silicones and musk compounds.
