Authenticity Coffee: Does your product contain 100% Arabica?

By appearance alone, it is not possible to determine whether a coffee powder is genuine Arabica or cheaper Robusta coffee.

An analytical differentiation is possible through the marker substance 16-O-methylcafestol. Using an HPLC method, the specific marker for Robusta coffee can still be detected in the smallest quantities.

In our Tentamus laboratories, we regularly conduct the analysis of 16-O-methylcafestol.
