Authenticity Coffee: Does your product contain 100% Arabica?
From the appearance, it is not possible to determine whether a coffee powder is made from high-quality Arabica or cheaper Robusta coffee.
An analytical differentiation is possible via the marker substance 16-O-Methylcafestol. Through an HPLC method, the specific marker for Robusta coffee can be detected even in the smallest quantities.
