Authenticity Coffee: Does your product contain 100% Arabica?
Based on appearance, it is not possible to determine whether a coffee powder is high-quality Arabica or cheaper Robusta coffee.
An analytical differentiation can be made via the marker substance 16-O-Methylcafestol. The specific marker for Robusta coffee can be detected in even the smallest quantities using an HPLC method.
In our Tentamus laboratories, we regularly conduct the analysis of 16-O-Methylcafestol.
