Chemical analysis of cosmetics
In addition to microbiological quality controls, the chemical safety and stability are of central importance. This applies to both cosmetic end products as well as the raw materials used.
The BAV Institute and its Tentamus partner laboratories carry out all relevant and legally required chemical and chemical-physical analyses for you. In addition to determining the content of various substances, we also check for residues and contaminants.
Ensure the quality of your products! Meet the legal requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 as well as other criteria such as eco-test parameters.
We analyze the following parameters for you, among others:
- Preservatives
- Allergenic fragrances
- Heavy metals
- Pesticides
- Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
- Plasticizers (Phthalates)
- Mineral oil compounds MOSH/MOAH
- Active substances such as tocopherol (Vitamin E), allantoin, panthenol, and others
- Fat indices such as peroxide value (POV), acid value (AV)
- Density, viscosity, and other chemical-physical parameters
