Strawberries in Eco-Test – Pesticides Detectable
In the May 2023 issue of Öko-Test, 14 strawberries were tested. Among them, 4 strawberries are certified organic and 10 come from conventional production.
The following chemical parameters, among others, were investigated:
Pesticide residues were detected in one of the organic products. In the conventional strawberries, pesticides were detected in 8 products. This led to an insufficient overall rating for two samples.
PVC/PVDC/chlorinated compounds were detected in the packaging of only one of the 14 tested strawberry samples.
