Recallofanotherspicemixduetocarcinogenicethyleneoxide

Residues of ethylene oxide, used among other things as a fumigant, in spices and other foods have repeatedly led to recalls in recent years. Ethylene oxide can be carcinogenic.

The food monitoring in Hesse has now found increased levels of ethylene oxide in a spice mix. Since the use of ethylene oxide has been banned in the EU since 2011, the product is being recalled.

In the laboratories of the Tentamus Group, we regularly conduct tests for ethylene oxide. We provide you with quick and reliable results and are happy to advise you on all matters related to product safety. If you have any questions, our customer advisors are happy to assist you.
