ExtendedDeclarationFragranceCosmetics–newVO(EU)2023/1545

With Regulation (EU) 2023/1545 of July 26, 2023, the fragrances requiring declaration for cosmetics according to Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 are significantly expanded.

In addition to the previous 24 fragrances requiring declaration, 56 more substances are added. As before, there is a declaration requirement for quantities from 10ppm (leave-on) or 100ppm (rinse-off). Transition periods for this new regulation are set to 3 years (initial market placement) or 5 years (sale).
