Solid Facial Cleansers – Detection of Heavy Metals

In the current Öko-Test issue (September), 15 different solid facial cleansers were tested. Alongside 13 syndets, 3 facial soaps were also tested.

Many of the solid washing pieces received a "very good" rating.

According to Öko-Test, the following substances were criticized in the solid soaps:

-       Heavy metals (arsenic, nickel, lead)

-       Polycyclic musk compounds

Besides the determination of heavy metals and musk compounds, the BAV Institute offers a wide range of additional chemical analyses through the Tentamus laboratory group.
