Completely Plastic-Free – Öko-Test Magazine Tests Shampoos for Dry Hair
In the current issue (June) of the magazine Öko-Test, a total of 20 shampoos with advertising claims regarding dry hair were sent to laboratories. The following ingredients were mainly examined:
- PEG (Polyethylene glycol) and PEG derivatives
- Silicones
- Allergenic fragrances such as Hydroxycitronellal and Lilial (Butylphenyl Methylpropional)
- Preservatives such as Thiazolinones (MIT and CIT) or IPBC (Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate)
- Formaldehyde and formaldehyde releasers
Almost half of the products (9) achieve a maximum rating of satisfactory, 3 score good, 8 other products are rated very good.
Have your products tested for residues and contaminants at the BAV Institute within the international Tentamus Laboratory Group to avoid downgrades in Öko-Test.
