Health-hazardous salmonella detected in sesame paste - product recall

 

According to the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), 90% of foodborne infections in recent years are attributable to Salmonella. As a cause of gastrointestinal diseases, Salmonella play a significant role worldwide. Common carriers of Salmonella are especially poultry, eggs, and pork.

Salmonella was detected in a sesame paste available for sale. Therefore, the manufacturer is recalling the product. Consumers who have purchased the product are strongly advised against consumption.
