Preservation Challenge Tests (PCTs) Cosmetics according to ISO 11930

The BAV Institute is one of the leading microbiological contract laboratories in Germany. With simple processes and a high degree of digitalization, we conduct all our tests quickly and reliably for you.

This is especially true for the conduct of preservative efficacy tests (PETs). We typically perform these according to the ISO 11930 method, but also have the methods of Ph.Eur. as well as the USP in our program. Additionally, we also test according to customer specifications and can include additional microorganisms such as Pluralibacter gergoviae or Burkholderia cepacia in the testing spectrum.

Regulatory-wise, the result of a PET is required as part of the safety report according to Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 for each new product placed on the market.
