In this portal, the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) publishes warnings from food companies and authorities about food products that are hazardous to health, repulsive or otherwise not marketable.
We have summarized the notifications for March 2023. In March, several cases involved the recall of herbs and spices due to the lack of allergen labeling. Ethylene oxide/2-chloroethanol was detected in other herbs and spices. Various distributors were affected by the recalls.
