Mineral oil components (MOSH/MOAH): Still a problem in baby food
In 2019, Öko-Test published alarming results. Mineral oil components were detected in almost all infant formulas.
In a recent study, Öko-Test re-examined infant formula. Fortunately, some initial feeding formulas have improved to "good". However, there are still products from which Öko-Test advises against due to the high mineral oil content.
MOSH (mineral oil components) accumulate in human organs. Therefore, their content in foods should be as low as possible. The problematic group of substances MOAH (mineral oil hydrocarbons) can also include carcinogenic substances.
In our Tentamus laboratories, we regularly conduct tests for mineral oil components (MOSH/MOAH).
We provide you with fast and reliable results. If you have any questions, our customer advisors are happy to assist you.
