Product Recall: Increased Release of Cobalt, Nickel, and Manganese in "Laib & Seele Loaf Pan 25 cm"

The Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) publishes, among other things, warnings regarding the increased release of cobalt, nickel, and manganese in foods on this portal. 

Due to elevated levels of cobalt, nickel, and manganese, an official recall of the product "Laib & Seele Kastenform 25 cm " has been announced. 

Increased concentrations of the trace element manganese can cause nerve damage, which can have severe effects on the brain and respiratory system. Due to its neurotoxicity, increased concentrations of manganese should be avoided. 

Oral intake of nickel can trigger an allergic skin reaction in individuals with an existing contact allergy. Excessive intakes of the trace element cobalt are also associated with neurological damage, cardiomyopathy, and thyroid damage.
