THC (Cannabinoids) in hemp products

THC (Cannabinoids) in hemp products

The market for food and cosmetics with hemp has grown significantly in recent years.

However, these foods must comply with strict limits. The content of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is closely monitored due to its psychoactive properties.

The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) already published an opinion on THC in food in 2000.

Recently, products from various manufacturers had to be recalled because the THC content was elevated, and a risk to consumers could not be ruled out. Affected were both cookies and muesli bars, tea mixtures, iced tea, and hemp oil.

In our Tentamus Laboratories, we regularly conduct tests for THC and cannabinoids. We provide you with fast and reliable results.
