For some time, in addition to accredited testing of cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and food, the BAV Institute has also offered microbiological testing of medical devices as an accredited testing service.

The accreditation covers the entire range of non-sterile medical devices (Directive 93/42/EEC and 93/3857/EEC). 

To ensure an adequate microbiological product quality of medical devices, we recommend testing according to the methods of the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph.Eur.). By meeting the requirements for pharmaceuticals, your medical device is on the right path. We would be pleased to review your existing testing spectrum with you in this regard.

In addition to microbiological testing for medical devices, the BAV Institute and its Tentamus laboratory partners offer further examinations, such as chemical testing. All test results can be accessed as usual via our sample portal.
