Declaration of valuable active ingredients in cosmetics

Cosmetics are often advertised with valuable ingredients, frequently explicitly stating the percentage content in the product, which can be an incentive for consumers to purchase. Hyaluronic acid, panthenol, tocopherol (vitamin E), allantoin, niacinamide, coenzyme Q10, glycerin, and urea are some examples of this.

Advertising claims made for cosmetic products must comply with the provisions of the Claims Regulation (Regulation (EU) 655/2013). These advertising claims are subject to truthfulness according to the annex of this regulation, meaning that a valuable active ingredient must also be present in the product (in the appropriate concentration) when claimed (percentage-based).

The BAV Institute and its Tentamus lab partners carry out the relevant tests for you, check the content of active substances used, and ensure the quality of your cosmetic products. Regardless of whether these tests are conducted within the framework of formulation development, stability testing, or release testing, the verification is performed using the most modern measurement methods.

Of course, we also test other substances for you. Don't hesitate to contact us - we will be happy to provide you with an offer.
