During internal controls, elevated levels of aflatoxins were detected in the products. This finding led to a recall of the affected products for preventative consumer protection reasons.

Aflatoxins are metabolic products produced by mold fungi. These substances belong to the mold toxins, the so-called mycotoxins. They can impair health if ingested over an extended period. Regulation (EU) 2023/915 regulates maximum levels for various mycotoxins in different foodstuffs.

In our Tentamus laboratories, we regularly conduct testing for mycotoxins. We provide you with fast and reliable results.
