An Overview of the Zoonosis Regulation
A current collection of questions from the LAVES (Lower Saxony State Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety) answers the most important questions about the Zoonosis Regulation. Among other things, the obligations for handling findings of Listeria monocytogenes on surfaces are explained.
It is clarified that in these examinations, only positive results of Listeria monocytogenes from surfaces that can come into contact with ready-to-eat foods are reportable. This also confirms the approach already practiced by the BAV INSTITUTE (see BAV article).
The new information sheet with the issue date of November 2021 can be found below the additional information as a download.
