Analysis of fragrances in cosmetics within the Tentamus Group

Annex III of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 lists those fragrance ingredients in cosmetics that must be declared on the ingredients list when present at 10 ppm or more in leave-on products, or 100 ppm or more in rinse-off products.

Furthermore, certain substances such as lyral and lilial are banned as fragrances for cosmetics (Annex II). Due to natural variations, levels of individual fragrance substances may vary.

Using state-of-the-art technology and fast, reliable methods, the BAV Institute, in association with the international Tentamus laboratory group, analyzes all declarable or banned fragrance substances for you. This applies to both finished cosmetic products and the raw materials used.

Incidentally, fragrance results are always required in trade tests and marketability tests.
