Analysis of pesticide residues in cosmetics and cosmetic raw materials

Residues of pesticides or plant protection products from cosmetic raw materials can be transferred to the finished cosmetic product. Some pesticide residues are regulated as prohibited substances in Annex 2 of Regulation (EC) 1223/2009.

They may only be present in the final product in technically unavoidable and harmless amounts. In the assessment of such residues, the safety assessor, who prepares the so-called safety report, plays a significant role.

The BAV Institute, in collaboration with the international Tentamus lab group, analyzes a large number of plant protection product residues (more than 600 compounds) for you in both raw materials and the final product, thus verifying the safety of your products. A comprehensive evaluation is of course included.

If you have any questions regarding further chemical testing of cosmetics, please feel free to contact your customer advisor at any time.
