Testing of Cannabis at BAV Institute

BAV Institute is authorized under Section 3 of the German Narcotics Act (BtMG) to handle cannabis. This allows our institute to accept cannabis samples for extensive microbiological testing.

Our testing spectrum covers all necessary examinations according to the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph.Eur) as well as the United States Pharmacopeia (USP). This includes determining the microbiological status (TAMC, TMYC), testing for the absence of pathogenic microorganisms, conducting preservation efficacy tests (challenge test), as well as suitability tests.

Furthermore, as part of the international Tentamus laboratory group, BAV Institute is also authorized for the chemical testing of narcotics.
