Analytical tests for the preparation of the safety report of cosmetics

The Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 provides clear guidelines for the data to be considered when preparing a safety report. An important part is the data on the stability of a cosmetic product.

This includes both microbiological stability (evidence by conducting a preservation challenge test, usually according to ISO 11930) and chemical-physical stability (whether the product changes sensory, substantively), both of which are extremely important.
