Bath additives tested in the current Öko-Test magazine
In the December issue of the Öko-Test magazine, a total of 50 bath additives are examined in more detail (natural cosmetics and conventional products).
All but 9 products are rated overall good or very good. The other products are at most satisfactory according to Öko-Test criteria, with 2 products rating insufficient. Factors leading to one or more rating downgrades include:
- Diethyl phthalate
- Formaldehyde and formaldehyde releasers
- Artificial musk compounds
- Halogenated organic compounds
- PEG- and PEG derivatives
All bath additives must meet the strict requirements of the European Cosmetic Regulation Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 and must not contain any harmful residues or contaminants (safety report).
Furthermore, the labeling of the products must comply with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 655/2013.
Do you have questions about the above regulations and requirements? Would you like to have your product tested according to Öko-Test criteria?
Please get in touch, we look forward to your message!
